What are CMV symptoms?
CMV is a viral infection that is transferred from person to person through bodily fluids, including saliva, blood, urine, breast milk and semen, Mayo Clinic states. While symptoms are rare in most people, pregnant women are at risk of spreading the virus to their babies if they have an active infection. Babies who are infected may develop symptoms, such as hearing loss, months or years after birth.
