What are the top four symptoms of a heart attack?

Although some heart attacks occur without warning, many people who are having a heart attack experience mild pain for several days, explains the American Heart Association. Many male victims describe the pain as pressure, squeezing or fullness in the chest that lasts for a few minutes, then subsides and comes back. Women often have slightly different symptoms, such as shortness of breath without chest discomfort, nausea, vomiting and extreme fatigue. Women are also more likely than men to have pain in the upper abdomen, upper back or jaw.
