What is the difference between Truvia and Stevia In The Raw?

Both Stevia In The Raw and Truvia claim to be zero-calorie sweeteners derived from the stevia plant, but neither lists stevia extracts as its first ingredient. Stevia extract is sweeter than sugar, but does not raise blood insulin levels, according to Truvia’s website. Neither sweetener is a pure extract from the plant. The stevia plant is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as an ingredient, but the sweetening agent made from the plant has been legal since 2008, notes Truvia.
